A young Ghanai tall jumper who is physically challenging, Gilbert Ampia was in the spotlight after making an incredible jump of 1.86 during sports at his school.

The athlete makes waves in the central region, visits St. Augustine College and presents them at school competitions.

His remarkable jump caught the attention of many with sports journalist Saddik Adams by recommending it to the Paralympic Athletic Association.

“I just sent this to the Paralympic President. He is a potential world blow with the right support,” he responds to a high jumper video.

In the video shared on social media, students watched with awe while he made the jumps effortlessly.

Despite its efforts, Ampiah is yet to receive any form of scholarships.

However, with its dazzling jumps, it will not be long when the supports start to flood for the teenage feeling.

Although he was born with the challenge, the young tall jumper is confident in building a career in sports.

Ampia had a passion for sports and began to participate in the events in the backyard.

However, his parents were worried about his participation in sports.

“I was told early this year that Gilbert was competing in a height jump that surprised me. A number of people gathered in the village to watch him in a competition he won,” said his mother, Aba Antobam in an interview with TV3.

“It was an exciting moment for everyone and it pleased me,” she added.

In the meantime, Ampia says he should have made his parents proud through sports.

Roc Nation Sports to create an office in Ghana
