The winning series of 12 Lincoln Star games ended with a loss of 7-3 to Sioux Falls Stampede on Saturday night at Premier Center Denny Sanford.

Lincoln (31-12-1-0) lost for the first time since January 4 and for the first time in regulation on January 3. Bruno Izan, Daniel Shline and Nick Young all scored in the loss.

Sioux Falls (28-11-2-1) turned the script overnight, hitting three times during the first period. The seven goals allowed the highest season for the stars to be marked and the first time you allowed five or more in the game of December 13, a span of 17 games between them.

The stars returned to play in the second period, ready after a heavy opening of 20 minutes. Izzan put his 12th of the season at the 2:21 brand of the left circle. Dashel Oliver wore the washer behind the net after winning Face-off from the far circle and set it. Saturday scored the first time in 25 cases this season that the stars lost a game in which Oliver recorded a point.

Lincoln made a game with one goal on the 17th of the Shline season on the sign 5:29 on the second. Hunter Anderson won his fourth point from the weekend against his former team when his wrist shot was refused, but Shline pressed a bounce.

Stampede shifted his momentum back with a goal at the sign of 18:17 to the second to take a lead by 4-2 two two early tales in the third period only eight seconds and then again 1:31 inches. Young replied for stars, carrying the washer to the end of their own blue line to Siou Falls network and celebrate a backhand in the 9:24 brand. This made a deficit 6-3 before the stamp scored a game goal 17:19.

Lincoln is four points ahead of Sioux Falls in the standings, but the Stampede Fargo host on Sunday. The stars have three matches in so many days next weekend. They will get the opportunity to face Stampede again in Sioux Falls next Friday after a road game in Omaha and preceding home game against Lancers.
