Snowline schools closed on Friday as evacuation warnings remain in San Bernardino County – CBS Los Angeles

All schools in the joint school district of Snowline will be closed on Friday as evacuation warnings remain in the area.

The area has announced that since the Rittud elementary school remains under a warning of evacuation, all schools will be closed.

“We deeply appreciate your patience, understanding and flexibility as we continue to appreciate the conditions and work closely with local agencies,” the area wrote. “Our goal is to always guarantee a safe learning environment for all.”

Snowline schools will reopen on Tuesday after the President Day holiday.

District officials had previously closed schools on Thursday when the evacuation warnings entered into force in San Bernardino County.

Other schools in southern California are also closed, including All schools in Malibu. School employees said the heavy rainy storm caused dangerous driving conditions.
