Boise, Idaho – a bill aimed at banning mandates on the mask in Idaho progresses on the floor of the house.

The sponsor of the bill, Brian Lenny, said the state should not be required to observe mandates on masks in the event of another pandemic.

The legislation caused debate, with the testimony being presented for both the bill and the bill. During the hearing of the bill this week, Kelly Packer, CEO of the Aidaho City Association, claims that mandate mandate decisions should be left in separate cities and cities, especially during emergencies.

A similar bill to mask masks have previously made its way through the legislature. In 2024, a bill to ban the state of Idaho on imposing masks was not taken from the Senate. At that time, the city of Boyz opposed the bill, stating that this would prevent local authorities from adopting public health measures not provided at the state level and restricting an important instrument that helped maintain business and schools during the time of the pandemic.

The Senate State Affairs Committee has already voted to send this Senate floor legislation with a DO PASS recommendation.
