FSU football freshman Tillan Lee has won over 40 pounds during the extra -season. Here’s how – Talahasi Democrat

Play

Before enrolling in Florida, the freshman defense liner Tilan Lee was about 230 pounds. A month in the extra -season program, he reached the range of 270 kilograms, exceeding his weight expectations.

How did you do it? It’s simple. Just eat.

Whether it’s chicken and rice or a visit to Panda Express, Lee manages his carbohydrate load while participating in FSU out of season. Whatever kind of diet to throw at him, the freshman will consume it.

“I put consensus on and off the pitch and it took a minute, but I did,” Lee said.

“I didn’t start weight until my older year, which is crazy, so I just eaten a lot, work and hit the weight room.”

The potential weight gain of Lee after becoming an early participant was not a problem. He was expected to reach his potential before spring.

So far, he is pleased with his size and focused on how he can contribute to defense.

“I know I had to get on weight, so I said about 250 and then I just started.

“I know I’ll get bigger because I’m still developing, so I’m just staying where I’m.”

Why Tilon Lee chose to play for FSU football

Lee was an emerging four -star perspective by Milton, Florida.

Throughout his dialing process, he engages twice in UCF and Ole Miss. Only when he visited FSU during Florida week did he like what Seminoles had to offer on and off the pitch, despite their 2-11 records last season.

“Florida is a great school. This is a legacy left here with the old coaches and old players, and the coach will push you not only on the pitch but also off the pitch, so that has taken me here,” Lee said.

“I have some good relationships with some people here. They will take care of you and make sure you are right.”

Lee said he had done a good relationship with Mike Norvel and his new coaching staff, including his defense line coach, Terrence Naton.

“He’s a great coach,” Lee said.

“He will press you. He will tell you what is real and what is not, and he will set your standard, what your expectation awaits, because he sees it in you.”

Lee is adjusted after two months of the out -season season. His biggest challenges were the management of time and knowing the plays.

“The challenging part is probably used to it, moving with installation reproduces and other things,” Lee said.

“This is a different environment. You go out fresh, so you don’t really know how the time is when it’s time management and things you need to know your path.”

When asked about the FSU on duty, he smiled when he explained the mentality during Norvell’s extra -season.

“It’s a real thinking and it’s good,” Lee said. “I got used to it, the more you know, the more I feel about everything. It’s as easy as the clockwork, so it’s good to fix you.”

“No matter where I play”: Tilon Lee is open to play everywhere on FSU’s security front

Lee has no preference for where he will play on the front of three people of Tony White. The Milton born believes he can be influential wherever he is arranged.

“It doesn’t matter where I play,” Lee said.

“I will eat and attack the line of brawl, so I’m not very concerned about where they put me. I know I fit into a pretty good position because I’m in a universal player.”

Lee did his play research in the 3-3-5 scheme and he liked what he saw. As he takes the challenge of playing in a new defense scheme at this level, the same task remains.

“Well, I saw a few of their old videos and other things when they were (defense) in front of the defense and I said we would handle the defender, just a straight base, getting after the defender, and that’s my mission,” Lee said.

“I like to get on after the discounts and run back. It doesn’t matter. Who has the ball, touches.”
