Hunting seasons

Deer seasons allow or sex, except when there is a dollar season only.

Elen/bow shooting: In February 17, the state zones of deer 5, 6 and 9. Closed in the state zones of deer 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 and 10.

SNipe: On February 28, across the country.

Popped/rabbits/squirrels: until March 2, private lands and selected wildlife management areas.

Goose/Conservation Order: Eastern and West Zones until March 2. Limited only to making blue, snow and geese of Ross. Without daily or restrictions on possession. Hunters allowed to use electronic conversations and rifles capable of holding more than three shells.

Fishing/wheezing

Shrimp: The coast season is closed, except in the bangs/chandelur sounds and all the outer waters open.

Closed seasons: Greater Amberjack, Red Snapper; GAG, Goliath & Nassau Groupers in state/federal waters.

Open seasons for relaxation: Flounder; Lane, Blackfin, Queen and Silk Snappers & Wenchmen among other types of Snapper; All groups except closed to Goliath & Nassau Groupers in state/federal waters.

LDWF updates

Closed: Camp Bayou Road, Dewey Wills WMA to large vehicles, but ATVS/UTVS allow. Hope Canal Road/Loat Launch (Maurepas Swamp WMA, Levee Construction).
