Bonnie Jean Ozley Hammons Necroll February 15, 2025

Bonni Jean Ozley Hammons, 90 years old, a resident of Baton Rouge for 68 years, died on February 15, 2025.

Bonnie is the only child born of Don and Ruby Ozley on December 6, 1934 in Arcadia, Los Angeles. Bonnie graduated from the Arcadia High School in 1953, followed by his graduation from the University of Louisiana Tech in 1957. Bonnie married the love of his life Donald Wayne Hammons, on January 27, 1956. They were married at 62 until the death of Don in 2018. They go to living in Arcadia, Denver Ko finally settled in Baton Rouge. Bonnie worked as an executive secretary during his career at Gulf Union, Delta Southern and Louisiana National Bank before becoming Chase Bank, where he retired in 1997.

Bonnie liked to shop -she was a professional to find the best offers and the best parking venue. Her good friend says that “parking in the store” will not be close enough. She also liked to walk the rear roads everywhere. Travels were her favorite. Bonnie loved to travel, with the cruise and the beach being her favorite. She liked to watch LSU Sports as well as NFL. She liked to cheer all former LSU players.

Bonnie survived her daughters, Jane Smith and her husband David of Bulver, Texas and Dona Hammons of Baton Rouge. Grandsons Sarah Smith and Grant Smith of Dallas, Texas, as well as several nephews and nephews. Bonnie is preceded by death by her parents and husband.

The grave ceremony will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. In Baton Rouge, on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 2:30 pm instead of flowers, donations can be made at Clarity Hospice, 9191 Bluebonnet, Baton Rouge, LA 70810.
