Birmingham Airport shares travel tips before “The most loaded February half -term” – Shropshire star

The Birmingham Airport says it expects its most busy half-term, with the expected 20% increase in the number of passengers compared to a similar period last year.

More than 345,000 customers are ready to travel through the airport during the eleven -day Friday, February 13th to Sunday, February 23, the airport said.

“We are preparing for a very busy February half -term, with customers diverting to enjoy their holidays,” says Al Tirtlington, director of operations in Birmingham.

“As with all our recent tips, customers should arrive at the airport in accordance with their airline tips. The liquids in the hand luggage should not be in containers larger than 100ml and metal flasks, and the water bottles should be emptied of liquids and recharged into one of our free water stations after the security check is adventurous. All large electrical items can be left in hand luggage and make sure you remove large coats to help our colleagues help you. ”

Amsterdam, Tenerife, Dubai and Paris are one of the most popular destinations that passengers travel to half-term holidays. In the country, Belfast is the best choice for traveling for a school vacation.

Here are the “best airport tips” for clients for half a term/banking holiday for escape:

  • Each airline has its own check over time. It is reminded of customers to appear in accordance when their check is opened. This detail can be found in their reservation.

  • Customers traveling with JET2 or TUI can miss their bags the previous day with the Twilight service for flights departing before 12:00. Please consult with the appropriate airline for specific dropping deadlines.

  • When you go through security, please make sure all the items are out of pockets, including phones, switches, coins and fabrics, etc. The clocks can be left, but please be prepared to remove the belts and shoes if you want.
