Alumnus shares how to succeed in hospitality – Fiu News

Matthew Cusher ’00 began his love affair with the hotel industry when he was seven years old. He would help his father on the counter at Dunkin ‘Donuts.

Today, Kuscher owns the Powerhouse Kush Hospitality Group, which boasts eight innovative, local Miami -style aromas.

A third -generation restaurant, the coucheper is recognized as an innovator for its restaurant concepts. From its first Lokal restaurant, which is based in Coconut Grove and serves an assortment of burgers and craft beers, at Kush Hialeah (Deli’s Deli), the oldest Jewish-style delicacy, Kuscher has created unique nutritional experiences.

“Every restaurant I have has its own identity, its own character,” says Cusher. “I want to make international restaurants that only make sense in Miami. I feel that Miami has his own language and I am a translator in this language. “
